Business Systems Engineer
Key Areas of Responsibility, Duties and Deliverables Expected
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer-specific requirements.
- Develop the business management systems to reflect change and support continuous improvement.
- Take responsibility for allocated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and/or Performance Indicators.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to all employees in relation to processes that support the relevant international standards.
- Manage the internal audit process.
- Liaise with external auditors for all external audits.
- Report business management system status to the management team.
- Ensure all activities conducted within the department meet documented processes and procedures designed to protect people, products and the business.
- Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, Health and Safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, housekeeping and duty of care.
- Provide support to the management team where applicable.
- Coordinate the closure of external non-conformances.
- Introduce standard changes into the business.
- Assist with the closure of external 8Ds.
- Manage management reviews.
- Manage legal requirements.

Required Education, Skills, Training and Experience
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience of document control.
- Ability to coordinate external non-conformance closures.
- Ability to introduce standard changes into the business.
- Ability to assist with external 8D closures.
- Ability to manage management reviews and legal requirements.
Experience
- Minimum of five years' proven experience.
- Trained and experienced IATF 16949 auditor.
- Trained and experienced ISO 14001 auditor.
- Trained in all core skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable Requirements
- Industry-specific certification or training.
- Experience using relevant software systems.
- Knowledge of best practices within the sector.

Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Set a good example of safe behaviour, particularly to new entrants and young persons.
- Work in a safe manner and observe site Health and Safety rules and procedures.
- Do not misuse or interfere with anything provided to ensure the Health and Safety of themselves and others.
- Correctly use the protective clothing and equipment provided.
- Report any safety concerns promptly to their Supervisor and take action to prevent injury if it is safe to do so.
- Report all injuries that occur at work and obtain the necessary first aid treatment.
- Help in the investigation of accidents to prevent recurrence.
